Who are we?

CarlisleLan are a group of mates who enjoy playing

computer games, Sick of lag, and the shear distance to other LAN party's ,

we decided to run our own event and thus, CarlisleLan was born.


Ok, So what's a LAN party?

A LAN party is a social event where a group of friends and like minded people,

who bring there computers (or in fact consoles) come together to play computer games,

take part in a few tournaments a few beers and have a good laugh

What do I need to bring with me?

If your bringing a pc (Which most people do) you need your base unit, monitor, power cases / 4way , keyboard, mouse, and any other hardware you require.

If you are wishing to bring a console as well as or instead of a pc, your also more then welcome

What Games do you play?

We release a loose schedule based on the poll results closer to the time

- not that we always stick to it!

Where do I sleep?

Most people just sleep at the event, there is a separate quite room, off the main event hall.

If you prefer a bed, there's are  plenty of local B&B's within a 5min driving distance.

What about Food

There are a number of shops within walking distance of the venue, including a bakery,

Carlisle city centres is also just a 5min drive away. The venue also has a full kitchen

including a microwave / kettle for pot noodles etc.

I live in Cumbria, but I don't drive, can you organise me a lift?

Yes, if you need a lift post up on the forums and hopefully someone will be able to pick you up
